Resident Life

The Residency Training Program's primary goal is to develop well-rounded physicians. The educational opportunities available allow residents to reach their full potential as clinicians, and extracurricular activities encourage continued development as individuals--as parents, spouses, artists, athletes, etc.

Wellness Program

All Interns participate in a series of Wellness Retreats. Residents are exposed to integrative medicine including nutritional and mind body medicine with a focus on taking care on oneself during the residency and later practice.

Social Activities

With the Genesys Family Medicine program, "family" is one of our top priorities. In our residency program, there’s more to life than work. Social events are an integral part of balancing the stresses of residency. Fellow residents and faculty are more than just our colleagues…they’re also our friends. Our regularly scheduled activities are fun for the whole family. The support system you gain by being a part of such a large residency program is invaluable. We’ve had events such as:
    • International potlucks, wherewe enjoy food from around the world.
    • Intern welcome picnic and pool party.
    • Ping Pong/Karaoke Party, hosted by one of our own faculty—The competition is fierce!
    • Graduation celebration dinner and program graduation picnic.
    • Halloween gathering
    • Annual Holiday dinner and dance celebration.
    • Resident organized soccer, running and sporting activities.
