Genesys presents free financial assistance seminars

(GENESEE COUNTY, MI) The Genesys Learning Institute (GLI) along with Barnett Financial Group are sponsoring a series of six free seminars on financial success. These programs will take place at the Genesys Learning Institute on six consecutive Tuesdays at two different times: noon and 6 p.m. Classes are open to everyone.
Date and topics are:

July 21
Budgeting and cash flow – dos and don’ts of budgeting and managing your cash

July 28
Tax planning – structure your personal finances to potentially decrease your tax burden

Aug. 4
Retirement planning – How much do I need to retire? When can I retire? How long will the money last?

Aug. 11
Investment management – learn how to potentially lower your risk and increase your returns

Aug. 18
Risk management – life, disability, long-term care, homeowner’s and auto insurance – how much is enough and what is the right type for me?

Aug. 25
Estate planning – wills, trusts and power of attorney – what’s the difference and which one is right for me?

The public can sign up for any or all of these seminars. Those attending the noon sessions are welcome to bring lunch.
