Talk at Genesys focuses on nutritional needs as you age

(GENESEE COUNTY, MI) GAC Gold, a program of Genesys Athletic Club (GAC) for seniors, features a Lunch and Learn with Friends talk on meeting your nutritional needs as you age, Monday, May 5 at noon at Genesys Athletic Club in Grand Blanc Township.
Seniors have very different nutritional needs than kids and even middle aged adults. Age-related changes can affect how the body processes food, which influences your dietary needs and appetite. A healthy diet packed with vital nutrients can help ward off potential health problems that are common in seniors, such as diabetes, high blood pressure heart problems and high cholesterol.

Christina Schumann, registered dietitian at Genesys Athletic Club, will share information to help seniors learn to eat healthier as they age.

Cost for Lunch and Learn with Friends is $6 for Genesys Athletic Club members and $10 for non-members. To sign up for the class, call 810-606-7509.

Lunch and Learn is offered twice a month at Genesys Athletic Club.

Genesys Athletic Club is located on the Genesys Regional Medical Center - Health Park campus in Grand Blanc Township.
