The Genesys Consumer Health Information Library (CHIL) provides visitors access to reliable health information that can help guide you in the decision-making process regarding your health or the health of a loved one.
Visitors to the library have access to an on-staff health sciences librarian that can help you research a specific condition, disease or injury through a variety of trusted resources:
The CHIL is a complimentary service provided to Genesee County residents for informational purposes only. Always consult a physician with specific medical questions. The CHIL is made possible by a grant from the National Library of Medicine.
- MedlinePlus - a premier health information database by the National Library of Medicine that covers conditions, diseases, injuries, medication information and much more.
- Online library catalog – find books, DVD’s and journals available for check-out.
- Internet searches - access information from other reliable health organizations and online resources that CHIL subscribes to – some of the same resources your physician uses.
