Nurse Educators
 Laurie Hawkins
Laurie Hawkins RN MSN AOCN is the Acute Care Clinical Nurse Educator, including 4 North, 4 South, 2 North, 2 South, Rehab, MPU, and Float A. She has over 30 years of nursing experience and is an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse. Laurie also has her MSN and is certified as an End of Life Nursing Care instructor with ELNEC. She teaches End of Life, a Loss & Grief program and is a BLS instructor. Laurie is an expert resource to the Oncology Nursing Core Class series. She has professional memberships in ANA, MNA, ONS, NNSDO, AONE, & Sigma Theta Tau International. Laurie is a member of the Board of the Genesee Lapeer Oakland (GLO) local chapter of ONS.
 Chris Baker
Chris Baker RN BSN CEN is the Emergency/Telemetry Clinical Nurse Educator, including ED (GRMC, East and West Flint Campuses), Floats, CRDC, ESTU, CVC, 2&3 South Telemetry, PRCU, and Non-Invasive Cardiology. She has 24 years of experience in Emergency Services. Chris is a Course Director of the Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course(ENPC), as well as an instructor for Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and a Certifed Emergency Trauma Nurse Instructor(TNCCI). She is a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and has worked in the community for health promotion and safety of children. She is also an instructor for EN Care, Emergency Nurses Care,and has taught in schools within the community. Chris has also worked with Emergency Room Physicians in regards to research, hazmat and crisis training. She is also an active member with the Emergency Nurses Association.
 Sheila Richter
Sheila Richter RN BSN is the Critical Care Clinical Nurse Educator, inlcuding Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, CICU, Surgical ICU, the Cath Lab, ICU Floats, SWAT, Radiology Observation Unit, and Cath Lab. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. Sheila is actively involved in critical care committees, offering expertise in the policy and procedures, as well as teaching in multiple critical care courses offered at Genesys. She offers tutoring to physicians on ACLS, code sheets, and hemodynamics. Sheila is certified as an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support. She is the program Coordinator for ACLS and holds professional memberships in American Association of Neuro Science Nurse, Critical Care Registered Nurse Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Sheila is the CTC Coordinator for ACLS and BCLS at Genesys. She is also the Regional Faculty for BLS and ACLS. Sheila also serves as the Northeast Chair for the state of Michigan.
 Lisa Tedrow
Lisa Tedrow RNC MSN is the Clinical Nurse Educator for Maternal Child Health, inlcuding Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Special Care Nursery, and Pediatrics/Women's Care. She has been a nurse for almost 15 years and has received certification in High Risk Neonatal Nursing. Lisa is a Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Instructor and Regional Trainer, as well as a Lead Instructor for The S.T.A.B.L.E Program. She is an instructor for Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course. Lisa is also a National Child Passenger Safety Technician. She received her Master's of Science in Nursing degree (with a concentration in education) through Michigan State University. Lisa has professional memberships in Sigma Theta Tau International, Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses, National Association of Neonatal Nurses and National Nurse Staff Development Organization.
 Ginger VanDenBerg
Ginger VanDenBerg RN BSN is the Clinical Nurse Educator for Perioperative Services, including Pre-admission testing, PACU I and II for 2nd and 3rd floors, OR 2nd and 3rd floors, and the Perioperative Floats. She has over twelve years of OR experience and is an active member of the AORN. She is a BLS instructor for American Heart Association and an Instructor for Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course. Ginger completed her BSN from Ferris State University here at Genesys.
