Art Van Furniture is celebrating their 50th Anniversary with an evening of intrigue on Sunday, October 4, at 6 p.m. The celebration will take place at the Art Van Furniture store located at G-4577 Miller Road in Flint. (Black tie optional)

Genesys Health Foundation
For years, there has been a great need to increase the safety and level of obstetrical care in our community. There are serious risks and lack of coverage for our community’s newborns. Our region is among the nation’s worst for infant morbidity and mortality. There is a rising birth rate, and it is projected to continue over the next decade. This translates into escalating high-risk deliveries and a growing demand within hospital obstetrical units. We want to address this by increasing our level of care for high-risk deliveries. Genesys Health Foundation has launched a community-based capital campaign to fund the construction and equipping a comprehensive Special Care Nursery at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc.

Every day in Michigan, a family member experiences these three life-changing words. Individuals coping with a cancer diagnosis have a multitude of daily concerns including learning about available treatment options and living with physical and emotional changes. For many cancer patients living in mid-Michigan, they do not have reliable transportation and/or the money to fund weekly trips for chemo/radiation treatments and medical appointments. Many times, patients are alone and unable to drive themselves. Because of this critical healthcare crisis, St. Mary’s of Michigan is asking for your support to help purchase a new cancer patient transportation van which will service cancer patients residing throughout the mid-Michigan area.
