Oncology Nursing
Bonnie Fick RN BSN will present this 20 contact hour combination of self-learning materials and seminar classes that include pathophysiology of cancer, chemotherapeutic agents, and nursing management of patient receiving chemotherapy, oncology emergencies, death and dying, grieving management, and much more. Offered in the Fall and Spring.

Orthopedic Nursing
Cathy Murray, RN, BSN, C, offers this cours that includes such topics as major classifications of fractures, nursing care of patients with total joint replacements, pain management, and orthopedic emergencies.

Essentials of Acute Care Nursing Classes
Bonnie Fick RN, BSN, Ericka Rohde-Brigance RN, BSN, and Cathy Murray RN, BSN will present this 34.1 contact hour course over 5 days. Content includes pathophysiology, nursing care, and treatment modalities related to all aspects of medical-surgical nursing. Included are sections on respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, orthopedic, oncology, and care of the pre-operative and post-operative patient. This course is offered several time throughout the year.

Implanted Vascular Port
This 4.0 contact hour activity targets nurses working in areas with high volumes of patients presenting with implanted vascular ports for administering IV therapy. Taught by Bonnie Fick RN BSN. Program information includes: Access, maintenance, trouble shooting, and discontinuing ports with emphasis on "hands-on" practice.

Telemetry Core Class
This is a 6.7 contact hour course that was developed to provide the RN with knowledge and skills required to care for cardiac patients in the telemetry setting. Topics include important elements of cardiac assessment, acute coronary syndromes, diagnostics and procedures, surgical intervention, and cardiovascular disorders.
