Genesys Women’s Diagnostics
More than 181,600 women in the United States are diagnosed each year with breast cancer. Fortunately, when breast cancer is detected early, in a local stage, the patient survival rate is 96.8 percent. Regular breast and mammography screening is the key to early breast cancer detection at a stage when the cancer is small, less advanced and more treatable.
Genesys Women's Diagnostic Services is specially designed to meet a woman's individual health and diagnostic needs including regular breast screenings and mammography in a convenient, comfortable setting. The overall goal of the center is to provide a complete program of diagnostic services to assist women in maintaining good health.
High-tech, Home-like Convenience
Genesys Women's Diagnostic Services offers state-of-the-art technology in easily accessible, comfortable surroundings. The pleasant warmth of the decor provides a soothing, home-like atmosphere.
Patients park in the Iris lot, just steps away from a special entrance to Outpatient Diagnostic Services. In a one-stop visit, patients report directly to the location where the tests are taken, getting in and out quickly.
Highly-skilled Staff
The center is under the direction of radiologists Khalid Latif, MD and Roger Rohr, DO. The staff of expert technologists are fully certified to provide mammography services through the Food and Drug administration (FDA), Michigan Department of Public Health (MDPH) and American College of Radiology (ACR). The center is FDA accredited and has earned the approval of the ACR.
Convenient Hours

The Best Biopsy
Center physicians use the newest system available for breast cancer detection an ultrasound-guided or stereotactic-guided mammotome breast biopsy system to provide fast, accurate diagnosis. Using this new technology, physicians obtain dramatically more breast tissue in a more precisely targeted location and with only one insertion into the breast. The procedure, performed at the center, is sutureless and virtually painless. Test results are available within 24 business hours (traditional biopsy results take about 7 to 10 days). Results are 97-99% accurate. Mammotome biopsies cost about 1/3 to 1/2 less than traditional biopsies.
