I want to thank you for the extra effort you are putting into helping out breastfeeding mothers. I have been aware several times since our June 15, class that you have been making use of the information. I do notice and am very pleased when I follow-up with patients, how much you have helped.

Today was especially touching. The post-partum staff called me to see a patient that came to get some of the breast pump parts she left here at discharge. Because of your encouragement, she decided the pummp her breast milk for her baby. At birth, she discovered her baby probably has Down's Syndrome. She relates the fear she and her family members experienced. She also says in all the confusion, whe was going to bottle feed. However, she credits you with the encouragement to consider pumping breastmilk for her baby. One of the special needs her baby has is feeding problems. She was thrilled when she started pumping and obtained 42 cc. the first time! In such a state of turmoil, she was proud and happy to do something special for her needy baby.

You made a big difference for this family. Thank you for your special, gentle kindness and support of breastfeeding.
