As I was leaving today (6/26/07), a very quiet young man got on the elevator with me. As we exited the elevator at the lobby, he finally spoke. He asked me a strange question . . . "Do you have supervisors on every floor?" I answered, "We actually have a lot more than that, is there something I can help you with?'

He proceeded to tell me that he just wanted to make sure someone knew "how wonderful the nurses were here." Through our conversation, he told me that his father was in CICU dying. He told me how wonderful the nurse was last night and his name was Marc; and that the "red head" yesterday was very special (Tammy); and the nurse today (Cindy) was just wonderful, too. He told how these nurses were not only taking very good care of his dad. . . but went out of their way to make sure the family was comfortable, informed, and allowed them to come in and check on dad all through the night and day without question. He kept repeating how impressed he was.
