Just wanted you to know what an awesome group of nurses you have working for you. Today we received a pt from ED who never should have come to us. Susan and Starla showed up to do his admission assessment, realized the situation and jumped right in to help us get him ready to transfer to ICU. Mary and Alma also came by and got involved. They went and got the SWAT monitor, kept the RN and Dr. Desimone informed of the VS and assisted with the actual move. I know that we utilize the ADT nurses probably more than any other unit and we DO appreciate them. This was going above and beyond and allowed my RN time to chart and call report. Everyone showed their concern for the patient and his wife, worked together in a calm, competent manner and achieved the optimal outcome for the patient in the quickest manner.And at shift change no less!!! You should be proud of them. I certainly appreciate the help they provide CVC on a daily basis. Kudos and thanks to you and your nurses.
