Theresa is one of the hardest working people/nursing assistants that I have ever had the privledge of working with. She puts forth her best effort on a daily basis. She never complains about how many patients she has or what her assignment will be for the day. She just goes quietly about her buisness passing water to patients that are eagerly waiting for something cool to drink, she takes the time to chat with them and ease their fears while she gently takes their vitals, and she is extremely consciencious of their worries of being incontinent and takes the time to make sure that they are cleaned and ready to recieve visitors in the morning. Then she takes the task upon herself to circle the unit and make sure that everything looks neat and tidy before the vistors begin to arrive which, gives our hospital the image of being clean and a place that you'd feel comfortable leaving your loved one. I know that this may not sound like anything special to someone that just reads this.. but if you could see how Theresa's actions impact the lives of the patients she cares for and the nurses she assists then you would understand why I feel so strongly that she deserves the Daisy Award. It is a rare thing to find someone so willing to give without complaint, and Theresa does it beautifully everyday! She is truly a blessing!
