As a Genesys nurse I witness day in and day out how important teamwork is. Each of us plays an important role in the care of our patients. Shirley is a dedicated CNA that works within my unit, 2-South. This morning she notified our team leader of serious changes occurring within a patient's condition. Due to her superior observation skills and initiative, the patient was able to receive emergency care for said conditions and was transferred to the intensive care unit. Because of this caring and conscientious individual a patient in a life-threatening condition was provided immediate and necessary care. Thank you Shirley. You are truly deserving of the Daisy Award.
