I believe Amanda should receive the daisy award for her dedication and hard work, every day she works. This particular occasion is commendable because she managed to facilitate the care so her patient could go home to die.
Amanda came into work at 3pm and until 630pm or so she was on the phone with, doctors, Phyllis from hospice, pharmacy, equipment agencies, and the patients significant other. Amanda was coordinating the care so this patient could go home.
Amanda went above and beyond to make this patient's final wishes come true. The next morning the patient passed away peacefully in his own bed.
