To the staff of PRCU RNs, LPNs, respiratory care. CNAs. AAs etc... Occasionally it comes around to us as employees to experience the medical field on the other end of the spectrum. This was the case since January for my friend Mike. Mike was in the PRCU for a short time before his death. All the staff and especially the above mentioned went above and beyond and brought home the true meaning of the Genesys values. They calmed him when he was anxious. Relieved his pain when he was hurting. Talked with him about all the MANY things he talked about. And helped him have a peaceful passing when the end came. I was so confident in the abilities of the staff of the PRCU that I knew he was in good safe hands when I wasn't there ( you know how us ICU nurses are) ;)
They make me proud to be a member of the same team...
