"...Mattie’s love of nursing is apparent, not only to the many patients she has cared for, but to her fellow nurses and other ancillary staff. She readily shares both her time and knowledge, offers help without being asked and with a wicked sense of humor.
Mattie takes a back seat at vacation times often having nurses with less seniority have first chance at the prime vacation times. "I've been there before too" is how she explains her generosity and helping of others. Mattie has so much energy, even after working all these years. She rarely misses a day of work and rarely asks for help from others if she can do it herself. Genesys will be losing an asset to this organization, and although Mattie and her personality will be missed dearly, her friends and co-workers in the PACU I area wish her the best in retirement. " |
